Business After Hours

This is the most informal of all of our events. Each month a different business hosts an evening of networking. These events are a great place to meet new people, promote your business, and speak with other like minded business people.

Make the most of your business after hours event.

Get our your address book and publicize. Make sure everyone knows your event is going to be a good one! Send personal invitations to key community members and have your staff call people on the day of the event as a reminder.

Approach your event with a sales mentality. Don't think of this as just another party. This is your opportunity to make a positive impression on a large group people and prospective customers for little expense.

Find ways to put everyone at ease. Consider giving everyone name tags and have an employee on hand to introduce guests to others. Urge everyone to enjoy your refreshments and snacks and cut down on the number of tables and chairs to encourage mingling.

Prepare a brief welcome speech. Be sure to give a brief history of your business, introduce owners and employees, highlight some of your accomplishments and/or future goals. Keep the speech under five minutes and close by thanking everyone for attending!

This is you're opportunity to impress new customers. The purpose of the BAH is to make new contacts and promote your business. Try to avoid hanging out with only those that you know and keep plenty of business cards handy. If someone is interested, take their business card and promise to call them the next day.
